Salatolvieie - potato salad

1 kg of potatoes
200 g of green peas
2 small carrots
200 g of gherkins
4 boiled eggs
1 economy pack of mayonnaise
The juice of 1 lemon
Salt and pepper
For garnish
Sweet pepper cubes in different colours.
Boil potatoes and peas separately. Grate the potatoes and the carrots. Cut the gherkins into small cubes. Mix all these ingredients together.
Add salt, pepper and the juice of a lemon to half of the mayonnaise. Pour this sauce over the ingredients and stir together well. Place everything onto a large plate or platter, and shape it as the base of a layer cake, a heart, or as anything you fancy.
Cover it all with a thin layer of mayonnaise. Garnish with the different-coloured sweet pepper cubes.
